Editing and development

This is the editing and development for the tourism add project

Font development: BY GUSDE

At first Gusde researched horror movie fonts as they appealed to our target audience and are apart of the same genre.
What i took away front this is that a prominent feature is the red color which Gusde figured is due to the relation to blood and gore as well as the red color invoke anger and strong volatile emotions closely linked with fear. Though Gusde thought these fonts didn't fit our advertisement as we wanted more of a traditional and cultural text.

Digitalisasi Lontar Bali Sebagai Upaya Menjaga Warisan Leluhur
An the end for the font of the font we wanted to go with a font inspired by the traditional balinese text/alphabet called Askara bali after searching around we discovered a font called balinese family font.

so maha used colour grading to change the colour of the sunset and the surrounding to make it more attractive and make the people want to watch the ad for a longer time.

so maha added a glitch sound and a light switch off sound to make it more attractive also the glitch will suit it because there is an error in the video in the scene 2 where there is on and off light switch.

So Maha put a happy song in the first combine with the sunset, but then there is a blackscreen with a off switch sound and goes to the horror side of Bali at first we dont think about the black screen and light switch but then we put it in the video and made it more better and more pamper.

REFLECTION: By having this blog it helps us to make our editing better and to decide the fonts for our texts in the advert and it can make the video look nicer

Behind the Scenes

This is the behind the scenes picture of our ad project in process

In this first take we wanted our friend (Sagara) to be the audio guy holding the mic for the interview but in later takes we decided that he would be better as the interviewer due to hid deep voice which sounded good for the interview rather then our voices

The Beach Scene:

This was a reshoot as the first time we shot the sky was cloudy and the sunset became obstructed. The sunset in Mertasari beach was as well subpar so we decided to reshoot in Legian beach which resulted in a better timelapse.

Here is the time where we shot our second scene. Our idea was to capture a timelapse of the sun setting so we did this by planting a phone firmly in the tripod then reinforcing the legs by partially burying it in sand. This created a stable shot for us.

At multiple times of the shoot we accidentally walked into frame though in the final video we were merely frames so the consequence is negligible.

In this picture we can see everyone in their roles.

Director and lighting:

Gus

Camera Operator:

Panji

Actor:

Candra

Production assistant.

Maha

In these scenes I was in charge of being the director and directing and leading everyone to create the best shot. I was as well integral to providing food and drinks to keep everyone at their best.

The problem with this scene was the lack of good lighting this caused the image to be grainy and pixelated so to solve it we decided to reshoot on a later date with better lighting which consisted of a flashlight with a defuser similar to a light bar.

In this scene the footage was too dark and pixelated when we reviewed it

Solution: We reshoot the footage and it came out better

REFLECTION: In the behind the scenes everyone was doing their role in the project it went pretty well but some footage was a a little pixelated and blurry so we had to reshoot again in order to fix that problem, we also had help from other group members (sagara) who helped us hold the mic

Script

This will be the script for the ad project written by Candra and Gusde

Scene 1 : Interviewer (Sagara) : So Mr Candra could you please retell your paranormal experience?

Interviewee (Candra) : Saya melihat sebuah asap di atas pohon bringin dan di sana adalah sebuah wanita yang melakukan ritual leak.

Scene 2 : Interviewer (Sagara) : is this a normal occurence here?

Interviewee (Candra) : Ya

STORYBOARD: it shows a sunset with a establishing shot  for 9 second with a soft relaxing music , than there will be a light switch sound followed by the screen going dark . Then the camera pans showing a temple with a traditional gamelan music , with a long shot and keep panning  for 6- 7 second ,then there is a transition to an interview with a local people . than the camera will shakes with a intense music and the interviewee's face will be shock and followed by  a pan shot showing an creature with scary face and the camera will glitch and fall .

Reflection : we had a script to make sure that we don't forget what to say when filming and so it doesn't ruin our scenes and when we do ruin scenes we will have to take more shots and it will take a lot of our time
